It was great to see Amaze’s #ChangeYourReactions education campaign recognised as joint winners of the Victorian Disability Award, in the category of Excellence in Creating Inclusive Communities.
“Change Your Reactions was created to promote greater understanding of Autistic people, and time and time again we have heard the positive responses to it from Autistic people and their families. Created in consultation with Autistic people and portrayed by Autistic actors, it is an Australian-first education campaign which urges Australians to take steps to build a more inclusive community that understands, accepts and positively engages with Autistic people.” – Amaze CEO Jim Mullan.
This is a project close to our hearts as we have worked with Amaze since 2018 to test community attitudes and experiences to the campaign concepts to determine which would best achieve the intended campaign goals, to develop the monitoring and evaluation framework for the campaign, and to undertake the evaluation of the first two waves of the campaign. It has been wonderful to have worked with Amaze on this campaign whose goals we wholeheartedly support – we’ve repeatedly seen in our work how creating inclusion brings benefits for all!
It’s fantastic to see this campaign recognised with this Victorian Disability Award!
