Much of our work in this area has involved assisting government agencies to develop integrated approaches to addressing problems of Aboriginal disadvantage, in conjunction with Aboriginal organisations.
Independent evaluation of the Otitis Media Screening Program
NSW Health, 2008
ARTD evaluated this major initiative under the NSW Aboriginal Affairs Plan to inform decisions about future directions. We analysed the screening data, and did case studies and interviews. We also reviewed the literature and recent evidence on effectiveness of screening.
Evaluation framework for Two Ways Together
NSW Department of Aboriginal Affairs, 2007
Two Ways Together is a statement of broad strategic goals for NSW from 2003-2012 for improving the lives of Aboriginal people, working in partnership with the Aboriginal community. ARTD designed the monitoring and evaluation framework in consultation with stakeholders.
Regional planning, Two Ways Together
NSW Department of Aboriginal Affairs, 2007
ARTD facilitated the development of eight regional plans to implement Two Ways Together, the NSW Aboriginal Affairs plan. We developed planning guidelines, facilitated workshops with NSW and Australian Government agencies and community bodies, prepared draft plans and supported DAA Regional Managers in gaining approval for the plans from the key agencies.
Aboriginal Strategic Plan
NSW Department of Community Services, 2005-06
ARTD assisted the Aboriginal Services Branch to develop a Strategic Plan for the provision of services to Aboriginal clients, and set out ways for the Divisions within the Department to work together.
