We work with the Australian government, state governments and NGOs. We have projects in disability employment services and advocacy with FaHCSIA. In NSW, projects with the Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care, include program evaluations, monitoring for new initiatives, and the facilitation of strategies for quality systems and organisation-wide evaluation. We also work directly with key NGOs, such as Carers Australia.
Performance reporting for Commonwealth Disability Strategy
FaHCSIA, 2007-2008
ARTD facilitated changes to performance indicators and reporting of the Commonwealth Disability Strategy through which all government agencies address the needs of people with disabilities. In addition, ARTD developed an e-accessibility guidebook and performance indicators for Australian government departments.
Monitoring framework for Supporting Families Program
Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care, 2006-2008
ARTD developed an overarching results accountability framework and individual monitoring strategies for six support initiatives. Monitoring strategies involved both DADHC staff and funded NGOs. Implementation included a pilot period, with extensive reporting to both service providers and program managers.
Performance frameworks for programs for school leavers with a disability
NSW Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care, 2006
ARTD worked with DADHC to develop a monitoring and evaluation framework for the Transition to Work and Community Participation programs. This framework focuses on individual outcomes and integrates the monitoring and evaluation activities with the Department's existing systems.
Stakeholder research on case-based funding for disability employment services
FaHCSIA, 2006
ARTD undertook a major national research project to inform FaHCSIA's review of case-based funding. Methods included a national survey of disability employment services and 30 focus groups with service providers and service clients.
National reporting strategy for NGO
Carers Australia, 2007-current
ARTD is working with Carers Australia to develop a national strategy and structure for data collection and reporting for state and territory branches of Carers Australia, including consultation with all state and territory Carers Associations.
